Will of John Jenks of Bucknell, Shropshire, May 6 1571:
My body to be buried in the churche yarde of Bucknill. Item I bequeth to
the poore of the parish threre vs. Item I given to my brother William Jenkes

paied after her husband decease. Item I give to my Maister Howell Clone iiill
vid viiis and one Bullocke. Item I give to Thomas Pwell xxs. I give to
Rihard Powell xxs which is in the hands of Howell Clone my master. Item I
give to John Powell xxs. Item I give to Mary Powell xxs. Item I give to
Johannes Styche my god daughter xxs. Item I give to John Mason my god sonne
vis. Item I give to Elnore his maide xvid. Item I give to Mary his maide
xiid. Item I give to William Squyre xiid. Item I give to Guset Squire xiid.

sheppes the stocke being iiile xviis viiid and one rout mare and abaye fillye
colte and foure fillys the one iii yeares of aige and two fillys iii yeares of
aige and one two yeres of aige and more unto hym xx shepe in the keping of
Richard xi shepe which I have with Nicholas Broune, the stocks iiili xiiis
iiid and more with hym xv shepe and vi lambes the stocks xvs and one cowe and
vi shepe with JohnHickes of Sucken. Item I will and give more unto hym xx
gotes which I have with John Lewys of the parishe of Waterdeane the hire vis
viiid due at Barnabe next, and if the said John do pay me my xx gotes of two
veres of aige at Saint Barnable th sppostell next commyng my will is to gyve
hym vis viiid and Henry Jarveyes doth owe to me iiiili xiis iiiid and if do
pay me at the feast of Seint Barnabe next commyng my will is to gyve unto him

James thappostell and he do pay me my will is to gyve him iis. Thomas Shery
doth owe me xxiiis at Seint Thomas thappostell next commyng and if he pay me
my will is to give him iis. John Striche doth owe me xxis and John Broune
doth owe to me xxs and I give to Richard my brother one leasne called hynde
otherwise called the mydell grove for the space of iii yeres in the custody of
Richard Maret and John Styche and one acre of corn in Temes felde. The rest
of my goods unbequeathed moveable and unmoveable my will being fulofilled I
give to my brother Richard. Item I do order and make to be my executors
Richard Jenckes my brother to this my last will and testament which I trust
will pay my debts and fulfill this my last will and testament theis being
witness Richard Marese, Nicholas Broune, John Reynoulde, Christofer Mason,
