Though the dating is problematic, this is unlikely to refer to Nicholas's father Robert and probably indicates that Nicholas's wife was a daughter of Ralph I de Limesy [WTM- alternatively, a different Robert de Stafford, son of Nigel, see DP p302] [Ref: Keats-Rohan DD p717]
