Research Notes:
of Burton Constable, neay Leyburn [Ref: BaildonWP BAILDON v1p331]
of Constable Burton [Ref: CP XII/1 p264]
there is no record of a John de Richmond of Constable Burton. In order for him
to have a daughter who was married in or before 1301, he must have been a son
of Roald de Richmond (d.d1294) or his son Sir Thomas de Richmond (d.1316).
However there is no sign of a quitclaim from him of the family lands which
came into the possession of the Scrope or Harcla families. IF Isabel was of
this family, then she is most likely on chronological grounds to have been a
daughter of Sir Thomas de Richmond (d.1316) [Ref: John Watson SGM
