of Greenlaw [Ref: CP V p72f, SP III p251, SP IV p440]

said to have become Lord of Home, in right of wife. Ada received lands in the territory from her father as dowry on her first marriage with William de Curtenay. It is further alleged that William of Greenlaw is identical to Sir William, Lord of Home, mentioned in a charter. There is, however, no known proof of a marriage betwen William, son of Patrick, and Ada de Curtenay, nor of her having made any third marriage, and the identity of William, son of Patrick, with Sir William, Lord of Home, Knight, equally lacks proof.
