Research Notes:
He graduated from Oberlin College in 1867 and studied at Union Theological Seminary in New York. Received his M.A. degree at Oberlin in 1870. He was a professor at Tabor and Beloit Colleges and the University of South Dakota, and later State Geologist of South Dakota. [Ref: Chamberlain TODD]
