obituary, from Hocking Sentinal, 31 Oct 1901:
Jacob Keller, one of our oldest and most esteemed citizens, died at his home in Logan, on Tuesday Oct 22, 1901.
He was born near Hesse Darmstadt, Germany, March 20th 1820. In his seventeenth year he came to the United States with his parents, John and Elizabeth (Rozman) Keller, located on a farm near Logan. Feb 12, 1841, he married Sarah hansel, of Hocking County and settled on a farm in Falls Township. In 1853 he sold his farm and in 1854 came to Logan and engaged in the grocery business. In May 1854, his wife died leaving one child, Susannah, now Mrs Jacob Keller of Logan.
In May 1855, he married Elizabeth Rauber of Lancaster. They have one child, Tena, wife of Charles Jurgensmeyer of Hocking county.
He was a faithful member of the Lutheran church, and his funeral on last Thursday was largely attended by many relatives and friends. Rev. Spoechr conducting the religious exercises. [Ref: Wendy Meyer 1/14/2011]
