Research Notes:
sailor, who left his family and attempted to leave the country in 1677. Discovered in "The Catherine Wheel" the house of Abraham Adams in Boston, he escaped after a fight with the deputy marshal, most of which took place in a room full of small-pox patients, their nurse joining in the fray [Ref: Davis SPEAR p154]
