From Sacramento Bee 7/24/1922: CARETAKER DIES
GEORGETOWN (El Dorado County, Ca)- July 24, 1922- Jeremiah Sacerman, retired farmer, well known in this vicinity, was found dead yesterday on the Caprara ranch in Garden Valley, where he was caretaker. He was 59 years old, a native of Indiana, and had come to California in 1874.
Two years ago, the former ownder of the Capara ranch comitted suicide, and last year, Sauerman's predecessor as caretaker, Peter Riberia, was found dead at the ranch. Saucerman's death is held due to natural causes, as he has been in ill health. [Ref: Sandra Bordelon 7/23/2003]
