Bequest amounts similar to that left to his grandson Daniel Hovey

by 1621 had son John, and two other sons under age 21, mentioned in will of
Robert Andrews [Ref: Pope PioneersMA p18]
died in 1670, leaving 5 Griffin children. None are mentioned as nieces
nor nephews of Thomas Andrewes in a statement of heirs by intestacy in 1683.
Therefore not a sister of Thomas Andrewes by the whole blood, though quite
possibly a half-sister [Ref: Davis SPEAR p152]
in settling estate of Thomas Andrews, court ordered distribution to the
children of his "only brother" and to "the children now living who descended
from the two sisters". The five children of Elizabeth were not recognized as
heirs, nor did they petition the court to be recognized as heirs. [Ref:
