Know all men by these presents that we William F Dilts and Sarah Dilts his wife, Robert Miller and Sarah Miller his wife of the County of Perry and State of Ohio and William Lawyer and Jane Lawyer his wife David Sherrand and Hannah Sherrand his wife of the County of Muskingum and State of Ohio as heirs at law of Anthony Miller do for and in consideration of the sum of four hundred dollars to us in hand paid or secure to be paid by Adam Miller of the county of Muskingum and State of Ohio the receipt whereof we do hereby acknowledge and are therewith contented and satisfied have devised released and forever quit claimed and by these presents do remise release and forever quit claim unto the said Adam Miller and to his heirs and assigns forever All our title interest and estate either by law or equitable in and to the following piece or parcel of land lying and being in the Said County of Muskingum and State of Ohio known and designated as Lot no forty (40) in Section or gr Township No Three (3) Township No one (1) Range No nine (9) of the appropinated(?) lands in the Military district and Subject to Sale at Zanesville Ohio of which the said Anthony Miller decd seized and possessed Estimated to contain one hundred acres be the same more or less, In Testimony whereof we have hereunto set our hands and Seals this Seventh day of February One thousand Eight hundred and forty six. Signed Sealed and Delivered in the presence of Mahlon Sims, Lineor Sims.
State of Ohio, Muskingum County, SS. Before me Mahlon Sims one of the acting Justices of the peace in and for Said County personally came William F Dilts and Sarah Dilts his wife, Robert Miller and Sarah Miller his wife, William Sawyer and Jane Lawyer his wife, David Sherrard Jr and hannah Sherrard his wife, signers of the foregoing deed and acknowledged the signing and sealing thereof as their voluntary act and deed. And the said Sarah Dilts the wife of the said William T Dilts, Sarah Miller wife of the said Robert Miller, jane Lawyer wife of the said William lawyer and Hannah Sherrard wife of the said David Sherrard being examined by me separate and apart from their said husbands and the contents of said deed having been fully made known to them they upon such separate examination did acknowledge that the signing and sealing thereof was their own voluntary act and deed and they now Still satisfied therewith.
