Peter found land about 15 miles southwest of Wolf's fort on Robinson fork of Wheeling Creek, now part of West Finley Township. The land was almost on the state line. Peter paid taxes in Finley 1792-93 as a non-resident. In 1794 he was taxed for a gristmill, 111 acres, 2 horses, and 2 cows. He bought the land for 136.14.7 on Jun 5 1799 (Deed book Q, p246).
