The genealogy and chronology of the Bosnian dynasty during this period is uncertain. Brandenburg, August II no 4730, Winkhaus 2:220, and others, identify the father of Catherine, Princess of Bosnia, as Stephan/Stefan Twartko I (Stjepan Tvrko I), King of Bosnia. John A Fine, The Late Medieval Balnaks, and Janko Orozen, among others, state that she was the daughter of Stjepan Kotromanic (who was an elder brother of Vladislav). Rajakovics discusses the various proposals for her paternity. He cites evidence against the theory that she was a daughter of Stjepan Kotromanic, arguing that he had an only daughter, Elizabeth, who married Louis I, King of Hungary. Based on chronology and other factors, he concludes that she was sister of tefan TvrtkoI, and thus daughter of Vladislav Kotromanic. ES II-158 and III-45 show that she was probably daughter of Vladislav Kotromanic [Ref: Thompson CharlesII v26-222(389)]
