1856: included in a list of the "First Spring Part, March 13, 1855, under the auspices of the New Englane Emigrant Aid Society" as Andrew B Marshall, teacher, East Weare, N.H., and William B Marshall, farmer, and wife, of East Weare, N.H., in the 1856 "Report of the Special Committee Appointed to Investigate the Troubles in Kansas" [Ref: Anne Pettavel 4/12/2007]

[apparently wrong William B Marshall]
from the Middletown Daily Argus, of Middletown, NY, May 5 1894: A Leading Citizen's Suicide Indiana, PA. May 4. The community was shocked by the announcement that William B Marshall, the senior member of the big mercantile firm of Marshall & Kline, had committed suicide by shooting himself. He was about 65 years of age, and was one of Indiana's leading citizens and business men. He had been a trustee of the Indiana State Normal school from its beginning, prominent in business and Social circles, a member of the Masonic fraternity, and supposed to be worth from $75,000 to $100,000. It was developed that he had some financial embarassment, but none of a serious nature. [Ref: Frank Marshall 6/26/2005]
