Research Notes:
Baker's History and Antiquities of the County of Northampton, vol 1
(1822-1830) p443 states that she was a daughter of Peter Picot, of Church
Bampton, Northamptonshire, and that she was the second wife of Henry's father
Geoffrey [Ref: Douglas Richardson SGM 10/16/2005-111602]
Peter Picot's younger son, Peter, d.s.p and his sole heirs were his sister
Isabel Touke and a nephew Simon de Senvyll; Alice was not a daughter of Peter
Picot, however she is stated to have bought the rights of these two Picot
heirs to family property at Heydon, Essex [Ref: Douglas Richardson SGM
10/16/2005-111602]
that Alice had a Picot connection is suggested by the descent of the manor and
advowson of Church Brampton, Northamptonshire, and other properties [Ref:
Douglas Richardson SGM 10/16/2005-111602]
possibly a daughter of Thomas Picot, died 1255, and his wife Muriel de
Somery [Ref: Douglas Richardson SGM 10/16/2005-111602]
