1366: as governor of Afaro, surrendered the town to Enrique of Trastamara, to
whom he defected, and after being taken prisoner at the battle of Najera, was
killed by King Pedro I [Ref: Thompson CharlesII v26-207]
Shown at Vajay AT 15 no 81, and at Salazar Farnese 568, to be the same person
as Inigo Lopez de Orizco, Senor of Escamilla. Salazar presents arguments for
this identification (article citation). However, Salazar's identification is
not accepted by more recent authorities, who show that this Inigo Lopez de
Orozco was a younger brother, with the same name, of Inigo Lopez de Orozco,
Senor of Escamilla. As the last named was granted the villa of Pinto on 6
Apr 1368 by Pedro I, he can be distinguished from his younger brother of the
same name, who was killed at Najera 3 Apr 1367. [Ref: Thompson CharlesII
