June term, 1826
On the petition of James Watt and Nancy his wife, late Nancy Moore,
stating, that James Moore late of Washington County died intestate in the
year 1801, without lawful issue or widow, but leaving heirs at law his
father, Robert Moore, since deceased, in the year 1825, and the following
brothers and sisters of the whole blood, viz, William Moore, Martha
intermarried with Joseph Adams, Margaret intermarried with James Boals,
Mary intermarried with John Gillespie, and since deceased, leaving now
living her husband, John Gillespie and their issue Robert, Nancy, martha,
William, Thomas, and james, and Nancy Moore intermarried with the
petitioner, and the said James Moore at the time of his decease died
seized in his demenses as of (illeg) in and to the following described
tract of parcels of lands situated in said county on Brush Run, a btanch
of Buffalo Creek, containing 50 acres more or less, that the petitioner
(illeg) the determination of the life estate of the said Robert Moore,
are entitled, as tenants in common with the said brothers and sisters and
their issue of the said James Moore, as heirs at law of the said James
Moore, deceased to one undivided fifth part of the said fifty acres of
land, and therefore praying the court to award an inquest according to
law. Whereupon the court awards an inquest accordingly.

Writ of partition
By an inquisition dated the 15th of September 1826 is appears that the tract
of land, above mentioned, containing 49 acres and 116 perches strict measure,
will not divide without prejudice to or spoiling the whole and the same is
valued and appraised at the som of five dollars and twenty-five cents per
acre.
Sept 25 1826
On motion, the inquisition confirmed and rule on the heirs and
representatives of the estate of the said James Moore dec'd to appear in court
on the first day of next term and accept or refuse the land at the valuation,
or show cause why the same should not be sold. [Ref: Carrie Alexander
