Sheriff of Cambridgeshire [Ref: Keats-Rohan DP p324]

abt 1071-1086 (and possibly until 1100): Sheriff of Cambridgeshire [Ref: Keats-Rohan DP p324]

1086: Domesday lord of Bourn [Ref: Sanders Baronies p19]

1086: Domesday tenant of Robert Gernon, his father-in-law [Ref: Keats-Rohan DP p388]

1086: Domesday tenant of the abbey of Ely [Ref: Keats-Rohan DP p324]

most of his holdings lay in Cambridgeshire [Ref: Keats-Rohan DP p324]

1092: founded St Giles, Cambridge [Ref: Keats-Rohan DP p324]

1105: possibly the Pico de Bavent mentioned in a writ of Henry I, as no other Picot had influence in the region 1112: possibly the Pico de Bavent who attested a Bury document
BUT identification with Pico de Bavent is untenable--
the service of one knight owed by Picot de Bavent was granted to William d'Albini pincerna by Henry I, according to his Carta; Charters of Wymondham priory show that the tenement in question lay at Besthorpe, Norfolk (held by the king in 1086) and that it descended in a fmaily surnamed de Bavent [Ref: Keats-Rohan DP p324]
