Research Notes:
although Urso's eldest son forfeited his father's tenancy-in-chief, the family remained in Worcestershire. In 1208/9 Geoffrey de Abbetot held seven hides in Redmarley and half a fee in Pendock of the bishop of Worcester (held by Urse of the bishop in 1086), and Osbert de Abbetot held one in Croome [Ref: Keats-Rohan DD p261]
