said to have gone to live with George and Margaret Hutchinson McKemey [Ref: Murphy LESLIE p15a]

lived as a member of the McKemey household until 1790 [Ref: Murphy LESLIE p15a]

according to one account, he was named George McKemey's heir; however George did not inherit the McKemey place [Ref: Murphy LESLIE p15a]

by 1795: married and moved west across the Catawba River and settled on Crowders Creek near the Kings Mountain Battle ground in old Lincoln Co, North Carolina [Ref: LesslieSB LESSLIE p48]
