In the name of god Amen the year of our Lord god a thousand five hundred three score and tenne the xvjth daye of the moneth of Julye, and in the xijth yeare of the Raigne of our Soveraigne Ladie Quene Elizabeth etc. I Christofer Jenney of Dunwiche in the countie of Suffolk gentelman doe ordeyne and make this my last will and testament in maner and forme followinge repelinge herby and utterlie revokinge all former wills and testamentes heretofore by me made First I bequethe my soule to allmightie god my maker and redeamer under the lawes of whose ost holie churche I protests my selfe to dye an humble an dpenitent synner for my synnes commytted, and my bodie to be buryed in the holie churche of Sainte Marye in Burye St Edmonde within the countie aforsaied. First I give and bequeath unto Avys Jenney my wyfe all my landes and tenementes both freholde and coppie hold sette lieng and being in Westelton Dunwiche and within the hamlet o fDingle duringe her naturall life upon condition that she shall dischardge the purchase therefo that is behind and unpaied, And yf she have a child by me then I will my sayed child shall have all my foresayed landes after the deathe of my sayd wyffe to him and to his heyers for ever upon condition as is aforesaied, excepted and reserved owte of the forsaied landes unto Fraunces Jenney by brother duringe his naturall life the some of twentie markes of lawfull Englishe money yerlie to be paied unto the sayed Fraunces or to his assignes according as is aforesaid by my sayed wyfe And I give and bequeath unto Henry Jenney by brother owte of the said landes vi L xiij s iiij d of lawfull Englishe money yerlie to be paied unto him duringe his naturall lyfe the which mor eplaynlie apeareth in a certein deede made in the xxxvith yeare of our late soverine Lord and famous prince Kinge Henry the eighte Item I give and bequeath to Avys my wyfe one obligation wherin one Thomas Godsalve of Buckingham Ferre in the countye of Norfolk esquier standeth bounde unto me in CCXL L, fo rhte payment of a certain some of monney as by the same obligation more plainlie dothe and maye apeare And after the decease of Avys my sayed wyffe (yf she die withowte yssue of her bodie by me lawfulie begotten) I give and bequeath all my foresaid landes lieng and being within the Counties of Norfolk and Suffolk unto Fraunces Jenney by brother to him his heirs and assignes for ever Item I give and bequeath to JohnJenney my nephew all my landes which latelie I purchased of him lyeng and being in Lyncoln shire unto him and his heyres for ever; Item wheras Bardwell in hath the use and occupation of a certein howse of myne with certaine landes therto belonginge for the which he is charged with the kepinge of three of my saied wyves children which bargaine for that I thinke in conscyence it to be hard, I will to be oyed and that my sayed wyfe shall have the saied howse and lande for the kepinge of her sayed children payeng unto the same Bardwell XV L of lawfull Englishe money Item I wyll that Smythes halfe a years farme due at Michaellmas next shall not be demanded of him, but I doe clearly acquyte him therof and forgeve him. The xviiijth daye of Julye Anno 1570 the within named Christofer Jennye gent being of parfycte mynde and memorye addinge to this his sayed will declared his mynde and will to be that the profyts of all his landes bothe frehold and coppie holde set lieng and being in Westelton Dunwiche and within the hamlet of Dingley after the death of hi ssaied wyef Avys Jenney should for the space of the thre next years after his said wyves deathe be taken receied and devyded by and amongest all the children of the same Avys then livinge which she had by her first husband in consyderation of ther fathers goodes that came to his handes not withstandinge the gyfte of all the foresayde landes after his sayed wyves deathe to Fraunces Jennye his brother as in his wyll is conteyned By me Robert Holte precher by me wWilliam Dier by me John Churche.
