reacquired half of his father's holdings, at Seacourt and Marcham, by marrying Simon despencer's sister, who was niece to Abbot Rainald [Ref: Keats-Rohan DP p152]

reacquired control of his father's properties by marrying the daughter of Hugh Despencer, to whom it had been given [Ref: Keats-Rohan DD p711]

abt 1131: appears on the Pipe Roll of 31 Henry I, and in the early twelfth-century Abingdon Surveys [Ref: Keats-Rohan DD p711]

in the Abbey's Carta of 1166 the holding was entered simply as "sauekesworda, ii milites" (Seacourt, two knights), perhaps indicating the minority of the holder [Ref: Keats-Rohan DD p711]
