Joannis at 118 incorrectly names the mother of Pierre II de Garilly as Ruben d'Armagnac, daughter of Bernard, Count of Armagnac, while Anselme 3:368 gives Pierre I only one wife, Rubea d'Astarac, daughter of Bernard, Count of starac, who is named as mother of Pierre II. However, ES (citing recent studies for Table 147) shows that Rubea d'Astarac was the second wife of Pierre I, by whom he had no issue. Casanovas also shows Rubea d'Astarac as a 2nd wife, who died without issue [Ref: Thompson CharlesII v26-87(291)]
