abt 1135/40: succeeded his father, as a minor in ward of Henry Maltravers [Ref: Keats-Rohan DD p975]

1155/56: accounted for relief on his father's land in Sussex [Ref: Keats-Rohan DD p975]

1161: answered for scutage on 11 knights' fees [Ref: Sanders Baronies p34(3)]

1166: answered for fifteen fees held of Richer de L'Aigle in Sussex [Ref: Keats-Rohan DD p975]

1166: returned a carta as a Dorset tenant-in-chief, and held 15 knights' fees on the former Mortain fee in Sussex [Ref: Keats-Rohan DP p143]

1166: stated that he owed the service of 10 knights' fees of Mortain and had enfeoffed 7 1/2 de veteri [Ref: Sanders Baronies p34(3)]
