of Crick, Derbyshire [Ref: Keats-Rohan DD p411]
of Crich [Ref: CP V p575(a)]

abt 1145: as a minor, succeeded his father [Ref: Keats-Rohan DD p939]

inherited barony of Crick from father [Ref: Sanders Baronies p37]

by 1164: succeeded his father [Ref: Keats-Rohan DD p930]

1164: came of age [Ref: Keats-Rohan DD p939]

1166: answered for honour of Crick [Ref: Sanders Baronies p37]

1166: answered for the estates of the Barony of Crick [Ref: Sanders Baronies p38]

abt 1187: lands of barony of Crick were divided between Henry de Stuteville and Hubert fitz Ralph [Ref: Sanders Baronies p37]

reason for the division is not known. It is also not known whether the Hubert fitz Ralph who answered for the estate in 1166 is the same person as the tenant of half the honour in the later years of the twelfth century. Furthermore, there is no evidence to explain why Henry de Stuteville obtained the lands [Ref: Sanders Baronies p37(1)]

abt 1187: his lands were divided between Henry de Stuteville, son of Leonia de Stuteville, a probably great-granddaughter of Hubert's great-grandfather Ralph fitz Hubert, and Hubert fitz Ralph [Ref: Keats-Rohan DD p939]

heir was his grandson Ralph fitz Anscher de Frescheville [Ref: Keats-Rohan DD p939]
