----- Messida M. Hamm Schwenk, 78, of Andreas R. 1 died Tuesday, May 5, in Gnaden Huetten Hospital, Lehighton. She was the wife of the late Arlin A. Schwenk and Deyman F. Hamm.
She was a machine operator for the former Bishop Co., Weissport, 1961 -81.
Born in Walker Township,Schuylkill County, she was a daughter of the late David and Mabel (Breiner) Lorah. She was a member of Christ UCC, McKeansburg,Schuylkill County.
Survivors : Daughters, Mabel M. wife of Craig Smith of Lynnport, and Mrs. Elaine E. Sterner and Mrs. Lillian B. Gernert, both of Tamaqua R. 3 , sons, Johnny G. and Jesse J. Hamm , both of Tamaqua, R3 and Larry L. Hamm with whom she resided; stepdaughter Patrica A. wife of Howard Moore of Howard,Pa; sisters, Leafie wife of George Knadler of Tamaqua R 3, Evelyn wife of Joseph Urban of Tamaqua , and Violet wife of Adrian Strohl of Lehighton; brothers Harrison of Camp Hill and William of Mechanicsburg, both in Cumberland County, and Walter of Tamaqua R3, 12 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and a great - great grandson.
