Oct 1837: moved to Worcester, worked as a printer with Mirick & Bartlett, on the Worcester Palladium and Worcester Republican [Ref: Pierce FISKE p404]

May 1841: with partner Samuel Church, published the Worcester Waterfall, a temperance paper [Ref: Pierce FISKE p404]

1843-51: spent a year as bookkeepper in Clinton, printer of State Sentinel, remainder as bookkeepper in office of the Worcester Spy [Ref: Pierce FISKE p404]
