The _Acta_ of St.Firmin of Uzes say that he was the son of Ferreol and Industria of Narbonne, and had a nephew who succeeded him, also called ferreol. The _Acta_ of St.Ferreol of Uzes say he succeeded his uncle St.Firmin. They also say he was a grandson through his mother of a Frankish king. Thus a number of genealogists since the 19th century have seen Firmin's father Ferreol as Ferreolus, son of Tonantius Ferreolus. [Ref: exet0133 SGM 1/19/1996]
