Research Notes:
no proof whatsoever that he was son of Miles de COURCY, said to be a son of John de COURCY the younger; John de COURCY the elder, often improperly called Earl of Ulster, had a bastard son John murdered in 1208. Patrick may have been another bastard son. [Ref: CP VII p280(b)]
