according to Nestor, his mother was already pregnant by Yaropolk when Vladimir took her, so Svyatopolk was "son of two fathers" [Ref: Andrew Kalinkin SGM 8/2/1999]

after father's death, he inherited Kiev, but in the followed succession was lost to his brother Yaroslav and died (or was killed) in 1019 [Ref: Andrew Kalinkin SGM 8/2/1999]
