received a grant of the lands of Hugh de Neville (Barony of Stogursey), who was active against the crown in the Barons War; Hugh recovered most of his lands in 1266, but the castle and manor og Stogursey remained with Robert Walerand [Ref: Sanders Baronies p143]

before 1273: received 1/2 of Barony of Pulverbatch from William, in return for other lands [Ref: Sanders Baronies p73]

granted 1/2 of Barony of Pulverbatch to Alan de Plugenet d.1298, his nephew [Ref: Sanders Baronies p73]

heir was his nephew Robert, an idiot; as John, his brother and heir, was also an idiot, the lands were controlled by the king who granted them in 1308 to Robert fitz pain of Poorstock [Ref: Sanders Baronies p143(6)]
