Research Notes:
Lived within the bounds of the Neshaminy Presbyterian Church, Warwick, in
which he was a pewholder and of which he was chosen a trustee in 1749. As a
young man he lived with his parents in the Great Valley, Chester Co, PA, and
enlisted June 21, 1777 in Cap. William Scott's Company of Col. John Hannum's
Regiment of Foot, Chester Co. Militia, in service at Chester in the summer of
1777. Late in life he kept the toll-gate between The Trappe and Collegeville.
