Research Notes:
For more data on this William Parker, see the land equity suit "Nancy Babbitt et.al. vs. Thompson Scroggins, et.al.," Cause No. 1085, Dec., 1859, Franklin County (KY) Circuit Court, KY Dept. of Libraries and Archives, Franfort, KY. Deponent F.W. Graves states that "Wm. Parker died in Oct., 1859 at age 93." Deposition of Julia Ann Jett taken 25 Jan 1861, states that "Nancy Babbitt, wife of R. Babbitt, Mary Witt, the widow of Wm. Witt, and Sarah Parker are the surviving children of Wm. Parker, decd., by his first marriate." The first wife is not named in the lawsuit, but "the plaintiffs state that on the 18th day of October 1859, William Parker departed this life (domiciled in the County of Franklin) intestate..."
