could well have been a brother of Samuel and John LESLIE; however there is no convincing evidence to support the theory [Ref: LesslieSB LESSLIE p27]

the James Lesslie who married Jennet Lessley is most likely the son of [this]
James Lesslie. If this is true, his wife Jennet would have beenhis first cousin were Samuel, John, and James indeed brothers. The possibility of all three of them being brothers is thus lessened for the simple reason that marriage of first cousins was frowned upon as a matter of principle, even if there were no law against it [Ref: Murphy LESLIE p14]

abt 1800: moved across the Catawba River, and located in the Kings Mountain area [Ref: Murphy LESLIE p14]
